The second eldest and one of the three pegasi of their children, her cutie mark was inspired by the Excaliber which was the sword in the stone until King Arthur freed it

Personality: Rosie is a princess who doesn't want to be a princess, she is very much the son that Shining Armour wanted Tanzanite Stars to be, she loves to train the new recruits finding it rewarding but would also like to be in the main guard it self.She rarely embraces her girly side despite the way she looks, she finds singing relaxing and will indulge in alittle makeover bonding session with her much girlier sister and mother.Rosie only wants to do what she feels is right and being just another princess doesn't sit well with her,  she may not be the strongest mare in the world but shes determined to show the Empire that you don't needto be strong to be a guard, you need be smart also.
Roses goal to be accepted as a guard has often isolated her from others, some ponies just can't seem to understand why a Princess who has everything would give it up just to be a guard it baffles alot of minds.

But Rose truly would give it up her status as a Royal if it ment her father see her as something other then his daughter amd a Princess and stop try to protect her when clearly she doesn't need protecting anymore unfortunately Rose is too stubborn to see that her father is only doing this as he wants her to understand that becoming Guard requires so much from the individual ponies who take it up, and that it isnt just about brawn and how smart you are, She would be responsible for her familys wellbeing and would she be able to handle it if one of them got hurt on her watch. 
Its evident she hasn't realised this yet or she has and isn't willing to believe something would actually happen to her parents or siblings,  her intense desire to become something other then a Princess has blinded her to certain things that come with the job of being a guard and the things outside of it aswell.

Meaning: Rose is a very good at training young recruits and is one of their teachers before they are accepted as fully fledged Crystal Guards, Like with her brother Midnight she is very good at hoof to hoof combat and is a very stratigic fighter, Shes only allowed to work part time on the Pegasi Crystal Guards and even the its rare she gets drafted to help with anything not even daily patroll much to her anger.

Notes:

Rose is actually best friends with Quartzite who inspired her to become a fellow guard,  Quartzite is part of Twilight Sparkle own personal guard they when Rosie was 13 and Quartz was 16 and in training at time. Rose refers to her as Quartz andis the only pony other the Quartz brother and mother aloud to do so

Rose Quartz is one of three teachers that train the recruits,  the others being  her brother Midnight and her on/off boyfriend Retro Remix

She has recently started dating Retro's twin Neon Night much to Retro's fury and because of her had caused a strain on the brothers relationship.

She used to have a crush Starry Skies and would blush and just start rambling nonsense when ever he spoke to her. 

Rosieis rather wary Raspberry Ripple whenever she comes to visit as like with rest of her family knows her parentage amnd half expects to find Raspberry sucking the love out of her parents,  this is one of the few reasons Razzie doesn't visit the Crystal Empire othen, that abd the fact that Tanzanite  won't stop hitting on her and maybe Tourmalines death glares.

She likes visiting ponyville as she finds it nice to be away from her fathers watchful gaze and loves to hang out with the mane sixes children, She is especially close to Fluttershys daughter Dove.
