Personality: Quartz is a grounded focused mare, she's sensible for her age and is the youngest mare ever to be made guard captain. She knows her priorities that her job must come first  and her social life has to be second which does mean she misses out on alot . She does sometimes wish she could be more carefree in her life and more a party animal but she'd have to give up her job which she loves she just wishes it wasn't so time consuming. Quartz wants the best of both worlds but she can't seem to have both which irritates her to no end she belives it can be done and is determined to make it work just so she can forget being the sensible guard captain and be the wild party animal just for a few hours at least without the worry and the constant interuption.
Her struggles to balance her work life and social life is something Quartz tries to use as a reason why Rosie shouldn't rush into being a guard as ut means very little time for yourself or your friends.
Notes:

Quartzite is the best friend with Princess Rose Quartz and somewhat  a mentor for her, while she encourages Rose to follow her dreams of being Captian of the Crystal Guard she does try to slow her down abd get her to enjoy her youth.

She had an on/off relationship with Neon Nights when she was younger and a bit more carefree, she ended it when she was excepted into Twilights Guards and moved away to Ponyville 

She lived in the Crystal Empire while training under Shining Armour to become a qualified guardmare.

She started training  at the age 16 and became qualified and excepted into Twilights guard at the age 18,she became guard captain at age 21

She finds it really awkward that Rose has started dating Neon Nights and has avoided being around them whenever she escorts Twilight to the Crystal Empire

She is one of the few mares Tanzanite cannot charm 

She has a very close sisterly relationship with her cousin Jellybean Blast and Sherbert Fizz 

She chose to Apply for Twilights Guard due to wanting to be closer to her Aunt and Cousins
